Welll, the guy my friends going to a dance with....?

so my friend asked this guy to sadies and he said yes and everything.....well anyways, lately he's been totallly flirty with me...like the other day he said i was his "bestest bestest friend" and today when we were walking to lunch he was standing like hella close to my side..he asked my for my cell number totally randomlyy...it was just so awkaward because he's going to the dance with my friend...like hes really nice and stuff but hes making everything awkard...i dont reallly like him, were just friends...should i say anything to him or my friend hes going to the dance with??
