Why are college students so free about bashing Christians?

It seems to me that there are two groups of Christians. The first group are Christians who are judgmental, vociferous in their beliefs, and would like to see their morality legislated and taught in schools. In general, they feel that anyone who doesn't feel the same way they do is basically evil. The second group? Well those are the remaining Christians, who are a little more open to ideas about peace and love. The first group (I think) is a minority population, but they give all of Christianity a bad name. The reaction you witnessed? I think it's a reaction to that small (yet loud) segment of Christianity.
