I'm Lost, confused and have no idea of what to do... ?

I was diagnosed with endometriosis about 2 or 3 years ago. My doctor has been insisting that I have a hysterectomy done. I have talked to a lot of his patients and it seems he tells the majority of them "you have endometriosis, you need a hysterectomy." And they do it... I'm only 26, I don't want to go through menopause or whatever. I do have my tubes tied and with 3 kids of my own and I do not want any more children but mentally I know that if I decide I want to have another with my fiancee I can have a tubal reversal done. I'm scared of wiping out that chance that one day I may want another and then I won't be able to. Can you please tell me the side effects of a hysterectomy. Good and bad. & if it will in fact cure the endometriosis. My frenemy had a hysterectomy by the same doctor for the same reason but says she still has endo.. I don't know if that's true because my doctor said that wasn't possible. I need more knowledge on this before I make my decision which I have 3 weeks left to make.
