There is sand in my engine..?

like 14 oz of it..the engine was started for approx 5 min..now it is seized.it does not start at all..wen i take it to the mecanic..can he tell if there was sand ..or is it all mixed up with oil..i dont want him to know there was sand..wat shoul i doo.. it is a chrystler sebring engine im talkin abut..help pls
