What is a good "freeware" firewall for a 6 hour a day deep web surfer's personal PC?

my 1 year free with trial pay of zonealarm security suite is almost over and frankly it isn't worth paying for this dud of a program, what is a good freeware or cheap alternative firewall for a personal pc used for general web surfing, p2p downloads and medium/high risk web site access?
